Join Ball as a Material Handler to contribute to sustainable aluminum packaging manufacturing. In this role, you will operate forklifts, ensure safety standards, and support production operations while working 4 days on and 4 days off. A high school diploma and industrial experience are required.
Position Overview:
As a Material Handler, you’re a member of an assigned production crew, reporting to the Plant Warehouse Supervisor. You will contribute to the success of Ball by observing operating principles of all assigned equipment and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for your area of responsibility.
Swing Shift Schedule: 4 days-on-4 days off, 7AM/PM-7PM/AM. Schedule rotates every 9 weeks.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
Follow all 5S standards and job safety practices and policies including but not limited to food safety; personal protective equipment; emergency procedures, etc.
Operate forklift and coordinate products including raw materials, scrap, finished goods, packaging materials, chemicals, and other supplies.
Effectively communicate with vendors, delivery drivers, and customers.
Inspect aluminium for proper quality standards and customer specifications.
Build positive relationships across designated team by effectively collaborating,
communicating, and upholding ethical integrity.
Required Experience & Skills:
High School Diploma or education equivalent.
1 year of work experience in an industrial environment.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
3 or more years of operation and maintenance of forklift.
Working knowledge of proper hazardous waste management.
Experience using JD Edwards, AS900, or similar warehouse or ERP system.
Physical Environment & Working Conditions:
May be subject to all of the following, but not limited to:
Hot/Cold working conditions.
Standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.
Climbing (stairs, catwalks, and other equipment as necessary).
- Starting Hourly Rate: $27.08 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- Daily OT after 8 hours
