Job description

As a Material Handler at QubicaAMF Worldwide, you will have a critical role in moving products throughout a manufacturing warehouse to provide a quality service to our customers. Your role is critical in ensuring we are making bowling amazing.

The Material Handler loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, warehouse, or work site.


Essential Functions
  • Operate three types of forklift vehicles and equipment: Cherry Picker most of the day, Stand-up, and Sit-down.
  • Operate an order picker in the warehouse, picking parts orders and then packing them into cartons for final shipment.
  • Prepare freight shipments by picking, weighing, banding, and/or filming the skid for final shipment.
  • Sweeping floors, cardboard breakdown, and recycling.
  • Read the pick list or follow instructions to determine the movement of material or containers.
  • Mark pick lists to indicate picked material and prepare to move slips to indicate material moves between stocking locations.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers.
  • Secure and move materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Count, weigh, and record the number of materials moved or handled on the pick list or daily production sheet.
  • Clean work area, forklifts, and trucks. Perform operator-level maintenance on forklifts and trucks.
  • Place material in an appropriate stocking location. Rotate stock adhering to “First in, First Out” principles.
  • Assist in counting material in cycle counts and physical inventories.
You'll also need to be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
  • Go up and down stairs (where applicable).
  • Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable).
  • Adhere to strict safety, quality, and manufacturing production standards.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of warehousing procedures is an advantage.
  • Reading and interpreting work orders.
  • Must use PIT equipment (cherry picker).
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds for an 8-hour work shift.
  • Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime.
Travel Required:
  • No travel is required.

$19 - $19 an hour
