Material Handler

Job Purpose

Material handlers manage the receipt, storage, picking, and consolidation of materials in the Sanmina stockroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving shipments and signing paperwork
• Unloading packages from trucks
• Inspecting contents for damage
• Verifying packages against orders and invoices
• Labeling and allocating deliveries
• Maintaining records and assisting inventory control
• Performing cycle counts and verifying parts
• Picking, auditing, and delivering to production
• Working with Bills of Material and completing computer transactions
• Filling stock requisitions

Qualifications

• Accuracy with numbers and component knowledge
• Ability to lift heavy items
• Self-motivated with good attendance
• Basic computer skills helpful
• Physical activities include walking, bending, standing, sitting, and lifting
• Experience with electronic manufacturing is a plus
• 6 months to 2 years of stockroom experience preferred
