Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Manchester, CT is seeking a Warehouse associate to assign inventory locations to parts, pick jobs, route goods, and deliver parts to departments, while maintaining accurate records and completing paperwork.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills for inventory transactions, and forklift certification (or ability to obtain it); a strong emphasis on math, accuracy, safety, and ITAR eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills for inventory transactions.
• Forklift certification a plus or ability to complete certified forklift program.
• Solid math and counting skills with emphasis on accuracy.
• Safety awareness and compliance with workplace safety policies.
• ITAR eligibility applies; U.S. person status required.

Responsibilities

• Assign inventory locations to parts and deliver job orders.
• Pick jobs, route goods and deliver parts to departments.
• Notify others of shortages, late orders, or BOM issues; document variances and errors.
• Complete necessary paperwork including computer transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and cycle counts.
• Operate fork trucks to move material.

• Export-Controlled Data This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items

Responsibilities

Assign inventory locations to parts, as well as delivering job orders

Pick jobs, route goods and deliver parts to specified departments

Notify proper individuals of parts shortages; late work orders or shipments; incorrect bills of material; scheduling, purchasing, or sales errors; missing prints; missing parts; etc.

Complete all necessary paperwork including computer transactions

Maintain accurate inventory records

Cycle count, troubleshoot errors, kit and move product along production area

Operate fork trucks to move material

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent

Basic computer skills, specifically with performing inventory transactions

Previous forklift certification a plus or the ability to complete approved forklift certification program

Solid math and counting skills with emphasis on consistency and accuracy

Safety awareness
