Job summary

Howmet Aerospace, located at 303 Wetherell St., Manchester, CT, is seeking an on-site Warehouse Associate to manage inventory, pick and route parts, and move materials using forklift equipment.

The role requires basic computer skills, a high school diploma, and ability to perform accuracy-driven tasks in a fast-paced environment. ITAR restrictions and US person status apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic computer skills, specifically with inventory transactions.
• Previous forklift certification a plus or ability to complete approved forklift certification program.
• Solid math and counting skills with emphasis on consistency and accuracy.
• Safety awareness.
• ITAR and U.S. person status required (visa sponsorship not available).

Responsibilities

• Assign inventory locations to parts and deliver job orders.
• Pick jobs, route goods and deliver parts to specified departments.
• Notify proper individuals of shortages, late work orders or errors.
• Complete all necessary paperwork including computer transactions.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Cycle count, troubleshoot errors, kit and move product along production area.
• Operate fork trucks to move material.

Responsibilities

• Assign inventory locations to parts, as well as delivering job orders
• Pick jobs, route goods and deliver parts to specified departments
• Notify proper individuals of parts shortages; late work orders or shipments; incorrect bills of material; scheduling, purchasing, or sales errors; missing prints; missing parts; etc.
• Complete all necessary paperwork including computer transactions
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Cycle count, troubleshoot errors, kit and move product along production area
• Operate fork trucks to move material
