Job summary

Lynden Door is hiring a Material Handler to join our Warehouse Receiving Team in Lynden, WA. This full-time role operates Monday–Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with overtime as needed.

Qualified candidates will have at least one year of forklift experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to read and follow instructions. Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $23.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of safe forklift operation in an industrial, farm, or similar setting.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow safety policies.
• Good reading and comprehension to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Unload and stage inbound material for inspection.
• Document and report inbound material damage.
• Support inspection and receiving tasks as needed.
• Sort small packages for designated receiving areas.
• Put materials away in stocking locations.
• Perform inventory spot checks and cycle counts.
• Fulfill pick-to-ship and cutback material requests.
• Assist organizing and improving warehouse layout.
• Rotate stock using FIFO practices.

What You’ll Do

• Unload and stage inbound material for inspection
• Document and report any inbound material damage
• Support inspection and receiving tasks as needed
• Collect and sort small packages for designated receiving areas
• Put materials away in designated stocking locations
• Complete spot checks and cycle counts of inventory
• Fulfill pick-to-ship and cutback material requests
• Help organize and improve warehouse layout
• Use FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to rotate products
• Always follow safety practices and Lynden Door safety policies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Motivated problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment

• Organized and self-directed with a positive attitude
• Prior forklift or vehicle operation experience (industrial, farm, or similar)

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand 8–9 hours per shift
• Able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs repetitively; occasional 70–90 lbs with assistance
• Ability to operate a forklift safely, including reverse operation using line of sight

Compensation & Benefits

• Wage: $21.00 - $23.50 (based on experience)
