Job summary

Fives is seeking a Material Movement and Order Picker to support internal assembly operations and customer orders in our Louisville facility. You will rely on pick lists to select materials, verify accuracy, and prepare parts for shipping with proper labeling and packing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Experience as an order picker or material handler preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedures manuals.
• Demonstrated detail orientation and sense of urgency in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders using material pick lists.
• Verify order fulfillment accuracy by comparing pick list documents to materials in a box or on a skid.
• Package parts to meet customer requirements, including placing parts in boxes, applying labels, using packing materials.
• Operate forklift or other material handling equipment in and around warehouse.
• Perform work in accordance with Company safety rules and guidelines; follow department processes and work instructions.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility for Material Movement and Order Picking is to pick materials and parts for internal assembly operations and customer orders. This role provides a crucial link between Receiving, Inventory, Assembly, Parts Fulfillment, and Shipping. Attention to Detail and Sense of Urgency are critical soft skills necessary for success in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous work experience as an order picker or material handler
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment, i.e. forklift, hand truck
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, drawings/prints, and procedure manuals.
