Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a warehouse associate at our Lenoir, NC site. The role involves operating a forklift, handling shipping and receiving, and moving materials throughout the plant to support production.

You will inspect deliveries, coordinate with operators, and help maintain packaging and grinding operations while upholding safety standards. The position requires 1–3 years of forklift experience, ability to work fast-paced shifts, and a team or independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and perform daily safety inspections.
• Interpret and use bills of lading/orders and manage shipping/receiving.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage.
• Support manufacturing with material movement across the plant.
• Coordinate with machine operators and supervisors.
• Stage empty pallets for foam extrusion and supply work centers.
• Remove finished goods and waste from work centers.
• Maintain packaging bander and wrapper equipment by replacing band material and film.
• Operate grinders by replacing containers and maintaining area cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership, production leads, or shift leads.

Job description

• Operates forklift in accordance with company policy and completes daily safety inspections.
• Knowledge of shipping / receiving / inventory control principles and practices.
• Interprets and uses bill of ladings/orders.
• Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
• Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy and any visible damage.
• Supports all manufacturing operations with material movement throughout the plant.
• Communicates and coordinate activities with machine operators and supervisors.
• Supplies required materials to work centers.
• Stages empty pallets for foam extrusion.
• Removes finished goods from work centers.
• Removes waste, scrap and paper bales from work centers, operates trash compactor as needed.
• Bands and wraps finished goods materials.
• Services packaging bander and wrapper equipment by replacing band material and film.
• Services grinding operations by replacing containers as they fill, sweeping the area and emptying the collection socks as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned by plant leadership, production leads, or shift leads.

• College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to operate hoists, pallet jacks, and other related equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to enter, exit, and drive a forklift without assistance.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
