Job summary

Maple Donuts, LLC is seeking a Material Handler for 1st and 2nd shift to support our fast-paced production. You will move skids, wrap pallets, and ensure pallets and ingredients are ready for the next shift in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining pallet supplies, staging ingredients, and completing shift inspections while following CGMPs and safety rules. A valid forklift/pallet jack background is required, with 2 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years forklift/pallet jack experience required.
• Experience moving skids to freezer/loading dock and ensuring pallet supply.
• Must follow CGMPs and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Move skids of finished product away from stacking position to the freezer or loading dock and wrap skids.
• Ensure stacker has a consistent supply of good pallets and place broken ones away from lines.
• Set up pallets, ingredients and packaging materials for the next shift.
• Stage ingredients for easy access during the shift.
• Return pallets and production items to proper storage at end of shift.
• Complete forklift inspection sheet at shift start and perform safety checks.
• Notify supervisor of any safety issues and follow all CGMPs.

Job description

Do you have experience in a fast paced environment? Do you love donuts?!? Come join our team! We are looking for a material handler for 1st and 2nd shift. Job duties include:

• Move skids of finished product away from stacking position to the freezer or loading dock. Wrap all skids from top to bottom by hand or by specified equipment.
• Ensure that the Stacker has consistent supply of good pallets. Place broken ones in an area away from lines.
• Ensure that next shift is setup with good pallets, ingredients and packaging materials.
• Stage ingredients for easy access during the shift.
• Ensure shift pallets are put away in a timely manner.
• At the end of the shift or week, the last forklift operator is required to make sure ingredients, corrugated and items used for production are returned to the proper storage area.
• Complete forklift inspection sheet at the beginning of your shift
• Complete an assessment walk through at beginning of shift to look for damaged items, loose stretch wrap, unleveled pallets, lot rotation codes, cleanliness, pallet supplies, loose or cut material straps, etc.
• Put forklifts and powered pallet jacks on charge when not in use.
• Comply with all safety rules. Notify supervisor of any safety issues.
• Follow all CGMP’s.
• Clean your assigned areas and your forklift.
• Fill in as needed on the packing line at the direction of the packing lead or supervisor and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
