Job Title: MATERIAL HANDLER

Job Summary

Responsible for shipping, receiving, salvage, storage, selection, and distribution of materials in an assigned area. Maintains inventory accuracy.

Essential Functions

• Manage shipping, receiving, salvage, storage, selection, and distribution of materials.
• Ensure inventory accuracy of assigned section.
• Complete accurate paperwork as required.
• Input data and assist with general warehouse tasks.
• Report faulty operations, materials, and conditions to supervisor.
• Use safety equipment and follow safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, equipment, and tools.
• Promote 5S principles of order and housekeeping.
• Perform other duties and cross-train as needed.

Job Qualifications

• Above-average math skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of handling hazardous waste per regulations; training provided.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Physical fitness to perform tasks, including tool use, movement, and working in various positions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 35#, frequently up to 70#.
• Visual abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
