Job Title: Material Handler & Back-Up Driver
Location: Kent, WA
Job Type: Full-Time
Industry: Precision Sheet Metal Manufacturing

Position Summary

The Material Handler & Back-Up Driver will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with order fulfillment or any other manufacturing or shipping needs at the time.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations & Logistics

  • Unload and load trucks using forklifts.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment to customers.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse to ensure efficient operations.
  • Verify incoming shipments and update inventory records accordingly.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory checks to ensure accuracy.

Back-Up Driving Responsibilities

  • Serve as a back-up delivery driver as needed.
  • Safely operate company vehicles for deliveries and pickups.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.

Qualifications & Experience

Required Skills & Experience

1+ years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping, or logistics.
Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active environment.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with metal fabrication a plus.
Previous experience in delivery driving or logistics.
Forklift certification.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems.
