Job summary

Ahlstrom's Thilmany Plant in Kaukauna, WI has immediate openings for a Material Handler. Starting pay is $27.80 per hour with an increase to $29.81 per hour within the first month, plus a $3.75 hourly weekend premium. Paid vacation after probation, on-the-job training, and gainshare bonuses are offered.

Will train and require forklift certification; equipment and safety procedures are emphasized. Schedule includes rotating 8- and 12-hour shifts with overtime built into the rotation.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Move finished rolls of product and load trailers for shipment.
• Cut cores and wrap finished product.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
• Work in Pulp Handling, Finishing/Shipping, Core Cutting, and other Material Handling areas as assigned.
• Operate forklift and pass certification; track orders and product quality using technology/computers.
• Work in a team to assist operators and perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

Responsible for moving finished rolls of product and load trailers for shipment

Cut cores and wrap finished product

Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean work area

• Work in Pulp Handling, Finishing/Shipping, Core Cutting, and other Material Handling areas as assigned

Perform other duties as assigned

Will be trained and must be able to pass and maintain forklift certification

Utilize technology/computers to track order production and product quality

Work in a team to assist operators and perform other duties as assigned

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Physical Requirements include:

Perform heavy work, defined as lifting 100 lb. maximum with help, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs

Work at heights

Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Work Location and Schedule

Schedule: Ability to work rotating 8 and 12-hour swing shift rotation. We do not have any straight shift openings. Overtime is required and built into the schedule rotation.
