Job summary

Novolex in Grant Park, IL is hiring a Material Handler to load and unload trucks, stock production lines and maintain accurate inventory. You will work under the Logistics Supervisor to keep materials available for continuous operation.

Shifts include Monday–Friday 7:00 am–3:00 pm or Sunday–Thursday 11:00 pm–7:00 am, with starting pay $17.92–$20.96 per hour. A forklift certification is required, and the role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification.
• Reading, writing, and computation skills normally acquired through the completion of high school.

• Support plant product food safety management programs, initiatives, and objectives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Manual dexterity, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time (2-6 hours), ability to withstand seasonal temperature extremes and frequent bending, pushing and reaching.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

• Frequent exposure to noisy work environment that requires hearing protection, exposure to extreme temperatures and safety glasses and hairnets may be required.
