Distribution International in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse operations. You will pick orders with RF scanning, move goods using a forklift or pallet jack, and prepare shipments safely and efficiently.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification or willingness to become certified, and prior warehouse experience. Local travel is minimal and safety training is required.

Qualifications

• If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification or willing to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders using an RF scanning gun.
• Move product and material using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Open containers using hand tools such as cutters, crowbar or claw hammer.
• Load and unload materials onto/off pallets, racks or trucks and secure items for transit.
• Transport materials to storage or work areas with hand truck or electric dolly.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain equipment; participate in safety sessions.
