Job Description:

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Material Handler to join our team.

What are we looking for?

• Standing on a concrete floor
• Sitting, getting up and down off of a forklift often
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)
• Bending, stooping, twisting, turning, standing for extended periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbs
• Ability to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust, dirt, and chemicals
• Vision correctable to 20/20
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Willingness to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times
• Receive and unload raw materials and supplies from delivery vehicles
• Perform material receiving and storage data entry and reporting as required
• Conduct periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
• Assist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activities as directed
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures
• Communicate effectively with other staff members to optimize quality, safety, and productivity
• Load trucks, including live loads and staged loads
• Operate forklift at an expert level
• Operate site yard dog
• Manage ship responsibilities, including proper disposition of hold product, food safety hold product, and released product
• Handle WMS and BOL responsibilities / accountability
• Support Warehouse Area Lead with shipping department activities
