Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation in Frankfort, Indiana, is seeking a qualified forklift operator to support day-to-day material handling on the production floor. You will move raw materials, WIP, and finished goods, and ensure accurate paperwork for shipments.

Training for forklift and overhead crane operations will be provided; prior forklift experience in manufacturing is preferred. This role supports a 24/7 auto parts plant with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Forklift experience preferred in manufacturing/warehouse.
  • Willingness to train on overhead crane operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklift to move materials across the production floor.
  • Manage paperwork for incoming materials and shipments.
  • Assist in cycle counts and inventory as directed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Performs day-to-day operation of material handling through use of fork-lift. This includes moving raw materials, finished goods, work in process (WIP), materials throughout the production floor, accurately completes paperwork, associated with incoming product and customer shipments. Participate in cycle counts and inventory as directed. Safely operates sit-down rider and electric motor hand carts. Operate overhead bridge crane as needed.

  • 80% Perform day-to-day operations of material handling throughout production floor.
  • 10% Complete required paperwork regarding incoming product and customer shipments.
  • 5% Participate in cycle counts and inventory as directed.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.

Must complete required training for forklift and overhead bridge crane operations. Ensure safety, quality and efficiency standards are being met.
