Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Supply Chain in Denver, CO is seeking a Material Handler to support receiving, put‑away and picking within our busy distribution center.

The role uses a warehouse management system and RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory, while working on two shift options. This full‑time, non‑exempt position requires good attendance, reliability and willingness to learn our PKMS system.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Onsite, in‑office role.
  • Excellent attendance and willingness to perform all duties.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and be detail oriented.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to learn the PKMS warehouse management system.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and fast learning.
  • Flexible to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate warehouse management system for putaway and picking transactions.
  • Use material handling equipment to complete receiving and picking.
  • Conduct dock searches for cartons and account for all cartons moved.
  • Prioritize hot orders with lead times.
  • Load/unload trailers using RF equipment.
  • Receive, label and verify inbound product including shortages and damages.
  • Perform daily put‑away duties and load products onto trailers.
  • Pick and putaway product from cross‑dock trailers and racks; verify lanes.
  • Inspect merchandise for damages and discrepancies.
  • Maintain safe, clean work area in compliance with OSHA and warehousing practices.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

The Material Handler works with hub operations management, leads and team to ensure accurate receipt, audit, record‑keeping, training and inventory integrity throughout the receiving, picking, and put‑away process.

Core Responsibilities
  • Utilize warehouse management system for putaway and picking transactions.
  • Operate material handling equipment to complete receiving and picking functions.
  • Conduct dock searches for cartons as needed and account for all cartons moved.
  • Prioritize hot orders with lead.
  • Load/unload trailers using RF equipment.
  • Receive, label, and verify inbound product, including overages, shortages, and damaged items.
  • Perform daily put‑away duties using all types of MHE and loading product onto trailers.
  • Pick and putaway product from cross‑dock trailers and racks and verify correct lanes.
  • Inspect merchandise for damages and discrepancies.
  • Operate material handling tools and equipment safely.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area in compliance with OSHA and general warehousing practices.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Physical Requirements
  • Continuous physical exertion: walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing; must lift 65 pounds minimum.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Use computer and RF scanner for long periods.
