Warehouse Lead

Location: Columbus, OH
Department: 3226
Shift: 1st (Monday – Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.)
Employment Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

• Train, direct, and lead a warehouse team to meet operational objectives.
• Co‑operate with internal and external partners and customers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment through audits and safety communication.
• Track productivity, coordinate assignments, and prioritize workflow via floor presence.
• Lead daily startup meetings, communicate goals, and share best practices.
• Provide feedback on productivity and quality to teammates and manager.
• Assist manager with planning and implementing departmental standards.
• Operate material‑handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure the work area meets OSHA requirements daily.
• Apply Williams‑Sonoma’s Mission, Vision, and Values to all daily activities.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution, manufacturing, or retail (or 5 years of progressive experience).
• Onsite in‑office role.
• Excellent attendance and teamwork.
• At least 6 months forklift driving experience.
• 12 months experience with warehouse management systems.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong decision‑making, time‑management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, collaborate, and research.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work overtime and travel as required.

Preferred

• Bilingual – English / Spanish.

Physical Requirements

• Continuous physical exertion: walking, bending, lifting, standing, climbing.
• Must lift 65 lb minimum.
• Extended computer use required.
