Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is hiring for an entry-level manufacturing role in Cayce, SC. You will assist with T-Post processing, ensure quality, and prepare posts for shipment, while following safety rules and working with a team in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness to learn, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Overtime and cross-training opportunities are available as part of our training and advancement culture.

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, uneven surfaces and loud noise.

Responsibilities

• Assist and remove sheared posts from the T-Post line.
• Ensure the quality of sheared posts.
• Hang posts onto paint line hooks and unhook posts at finishing end.
• Bundle the finished posts.
• Assist with loading trucks for T-Post shipments.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold safety culture.
• Understand start up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain daily housekeeping in the work area.
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using knowledge and communication.

What You'll Do

• Ability to troubleshoot work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others
• Perform minor/routine maintenance or repairs as needed to equipment without the assistance of maintenance personnel

• Ability to work with exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces

• Ability to work overtime as required, including planned schedules and unplanned emergency situations
• Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis.

Your Education
