Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Material Handler to move and process received waste, maintain a clean, safe floor, and follow safety procedures. You will support various operational workflows and receive paid training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, overtime, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and unloading of carts and box waste from trailers.
• Cycle carts through tippers and cart washers and perform QC checks for damage and cleanliness.
• Operate box waste scale station and record weights for billing purposes.
• Maintain unloading and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Follow established safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor and document the number of boxes processed daily.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely waste handling.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.

As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in moving and processing received waste through established practices, maintaining a clean and orderly floor area, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Requirements
