Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services in Woodstock, GA is seeking a Material Handler to move and process waste, keep a clean floor, and follow safety procedures. This role includes paid training, company-provided uniforms, and strong benefits as the company grows across 35+ locations.

You will participate in loading/unloading, QC checks, and weight recording for billing while working with a team to improve workflow and safety. Flexibility for schedules is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate loading and unloading of carts and box waste from trailers.
• Cycle carts through tippers and cart washers and perform QC checks for damage and cleanliness.
• Operate box waste scale station and record weights for billing purposes.
• Maintain unloading and work areas for cleanliness and safety.
• Perform general plant cleanup duties, including spilled waste or materials.
• Follow established safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor and document the number of boxes processed daily.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure timely waste handling.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Assist with cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.
