Currently we are seeking a Material Handler to join our team and be an essential part of manufacturing at our Carroll, Iowa location. This person will be instrumental in sorting and distributing fabricated parts. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Your Role in Our Mission:
- Sort and deliver purchased and/or fabricated parts to required areas.
- Put away or assist in ensuring proper storage of fabricated parts.
- Load and unload trailers using a forklift or crane.
- Picks up goods from outside suppliers or delivers goods to distribution centers.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized work area, inside and outside of the facility.
- Order fabricated parts for subassemblies.
- Assist other individuals in other areas as needed.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the safety and maintenance departments.
To Perform this Job Successfully:
- 1 year of experience in operating a forklift preferred.
- Forklift and crane certification preferred.
- Good communication with individuals inside and outside the department.
- Ability to read and understand documents and orders.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance in accordance with company attendance policies.
