Job summary

Onward Technologies Inc. in Carpentersville, IL is seeking a Material Handler to support assembly operations. The role requires handling material, reading BOMs, and ensuring correct components are supplied to work areas on schedule.

The position involves forklift operation (sit-down and stand-up), inventory control, and 5S housekeeping to maintain a clean, organized workspace on the first shift (6:00am - 2:30pm CT).

Qualifications

• 1 year of Material Handler experience within a manufacturing facility
• Inventory experience
• Read and understand part descriptions and BOMs
• Forklift experience
• Sit-down and stand-up forklift experience

Responsibilities

• Read and understand order part description and bill of material
• Supply correct component parts to all work areas
• Keep component parts in queue and ready for next assembly work order
• Change out component parts on every line maintaining Whls./Hr. rate
• Return leftover component parts to stock
• Reweighs or counts parts going back into inventory
• Look for similar parts in inventory and consolidate to minimize bins
• Help prepare pallets, cartons etc.
• Perform Daily 5S cleanup

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand order part description and bill of material,
• Supply correct component parts to all work areas,
• Has component parts in queue and ready for next assembly work order,
• Changes out component parts on every line maintaining Whls./Hr. Rate,
• Returns leftover component parts to stock.
• Reweighs or counts parts going back into inventory,
• Looks for similar parts in inventory and consolidates to minimize quantity of bins in stock,
• Helps preparing pallets, cartons etc.,
• Performs Daily 5S clean up.
