Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support our Set-Up and SMT Pick & Place operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for receiving, auditing, and organizing electronic components, ensuring materials are production-ready and aligned with quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are essential to this role. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials; match to purchase orders or job orders.
- Accurately audit, label, and stock SMT components in proper locations
- Identify and handle moisture-sensitive devices; operate reel counters
- Kit and set up materials per documented build specifications
- Partner with Production teams to ensure optimal methods and high-quality builds
- Maintain clear records using ERP and shipping software (Epicor experience a plus)
- Ensure accurate, efficient shipments and documentation
- Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives
- Follow quality policies and contribute to a clean, safe, and collaborative work environment
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of experience in electronics manufacturing or a warehouse environment
- Experience with SMT component handling, shipping/receiving, and stocking
- Proficiency in basic data entry and use of ERP/shipping systems
- Valid driver’s license and proof of active insurance required
SKILLS And COMPETENCIES
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read job documentation and follow instructions in English
- Basic math and the ability to read performance graphs
- Familiarity with IPC standards (must pass internal Component ID & IPC Workmanship exams)
- Positive, proactive team mindset
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, and handle small parts
- Occasionally required to kneel, stoop, or lift up to 25 lbs
- Visual acuity for color recognition, close/distance vision, and depth perception
