What You'll Do

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety regulations
• Operate production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Transport material using assigned equipment
• Participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture
• Keep heavy equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs
• Assist in performing inventory on materials
• Grade and inspect inbound loads of material, making deductions for excess such as dirt, trash, and/or plastic
• Identify and sort various metals
• Keep records of incoming loads, specific materials, and customers' specific materials
• Operate various fixed and/or mobile equipment; observe varying conditions; adjust equipment controls
• Operate equipment to move material around the warehouse/yard
• Sort material by grade, size, and customer specifications
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Experience with metal sorting is a plus but not required; includes distinguishing between different metals and/or other materials for grading purposes and recognizing safety hazards
• Must be able to frequently lift 25 lbs or more, including carrying or pushing objects up to 100 ft
• Must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to stand for extended periods in an industrial environment with exposure to weather

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
