Job summary

Oklahoma Safety Equipment Company, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support our manufacturing process. You will prepare and deliver materials per lot cards, drawings and work orders, using cutting tables, square shears and the Flashcut machine to produce gasket material for craftsmen.

You will also maintain accurate inventory for materials under your control. The role requires reading work orders, performing barcode scans, and recording transactions in the ERP system to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Prior experience with reading work orders and performing inventory transactions.
• Proficiency with barcode scanning and ERP data entry.
• Ability to maintain accurate material counts and timely pick/put-away actions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver materials per lot cards, drawings, and work orders.
• Cut materials using cutting tables or square shears and operate the Flashcut machine.
• Identify and provide required material to craftsmen and deliver promptly.
• Perform order picking, complete paperwork, and operate barcode scanners.
• Record transactions in the ERP system and maintain material on lot cards or job travellers.
• Receive in materials for sheet and coil stock and store to prevent damage.

Help grow a safer, cleaner, healthier future for everyone, every day.As a Material Handler, you will be a crucial part of our manufacturing process, responsible for preparing and delivering materials according to lot cards, drawings, and work orders. Your main responsibilities will include determining the required thickness of disk material, cutting materials using cutting tables or square shears, and utilizing the Flashcut machine to provide gaskets to craftsmen. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of material within your control and the organization of the materials.In addition to the outlined responsibilities, all employees are expected to consistently uphold and embody our company's core values in their daily work, fostering a culture of integrity, collaboration, and excellence.Key Job Responsibilities:Determine the required thickness of disk material using established formulas and procedures.Cut materials using cutting tables or square shears.Utilize the Flashcut machine to accurately cut gasket material for craftsmen based on lot cards, drawings, or work orders.Demonstrate proficiency in operating the computer, Flashcut program, and Flashcut machine to ensure efficient material cutting.Identify and provide the required material to craftsmen as per their needs.Deliver material to craftsmen promptly and efficiently.Perform order picking by reading pick tickets, complete necessary paperwork, and operate barcode scanners during the picking or put-away process.Accurately recording transactions for material on lot cards or job traveller and in the ERP system.Receiving in materials for Sheet and Coil stock and storing the material in a manner that will prevent damage or lost of value.Effective communication skills exhibiting OE Values.Working knowledge of OE Company Handbook, QE procedures and Safety PoliciesThis job description provides a comprehensive overview of the main responsibilities expected in this role.
