Job summary

ROCKET RACK® is seeking a warehouse associate for second or third shift in Michigan. The role involves shipping orders, receiving inbound freight, and maintaining inventory using WMS. You will perform cycle counts, prepare skids for shipment, and ensure accurate invoices and documentation across departments.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to write routine reports. A HiLo license is preferred, and MRPII familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fills shipping orders using stock from finished goods warehouse.
  • Maintains stock in assembly/CNC/bonding areas to ensure production flow.
  • Documents inventory transactions in the company database using WMS.
  • Picks, verifies, packages, and loads orders for shipment with WMS.
  • Performs daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy in WMS.
  • Unloads trucks and matches goods with invoices.
  • Transports finished goods to the finished goods warehouse and bins them.
  • Keeps WIP warehouse properly stocked and organized.
  • Delivers inbound freight to respective locations.
  • Verifies counts on skids for WIP and shipped goods.
  • Performs daily lift truck and warehouse equipment maintenance checks.
  • Ensures adherence to ISO processes, procedures, and quality policy.

Job description

SECOND OR THIRD SHIFT ONLY Fills shipping order with stock from finished goods warehouse and delivers it to shipping for processing. Performs related shipping and inventory handling functions as directed.

  • Responsible for the set up and changeovers for the daily production per supervisor’s direction
  • Maintains stock in the assembly department, CNC department and the bonding area so to ensure the flow of production
  • Documents or performs inventory transactions to maintain correct balances in the company database using WMS
  • Picks, verifies, packages, and loads orders for shipment using WMS
  • Performs daily cycle counts as required for inventory accuracy using WMS
  • Unloads trucks and matches goods with invoices
  • Transports finished goods from the production floor to the finished goods warehouse and places it in the properly designated bins.
  • Maintains WIP warehouse for proper stock rotation. Ensures that all WIP is placed in its proper bins in the warehouse.
  • Delivers inbound freight to respective locations
  • Picks finished goods from pack lists to be shipped
  • Verifies counts on skids for WIP finished goods and products to be shipped.
  • Removes waste from plant that cannot be moved by hand
  • Does UPS shipments and prepares skids for shipments
  • Performs daily maintenance checks and housekeeping on lift trucks and warehouse equipment
  • Responsibility for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation, and disposition of non-conforming products, services, or systems
  • Keep immediate work area clean and organized
  • Responsible for adherence and knowledge of all ISO processes, procedures, flowcharts, and quality policy
  • All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be able to hold current Hilo license Preferred:
  • Familiarity with MRPII Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
