Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. is hiring for a warehouse associate in Arkansas. You will handle receiving, storage and movement of materials, operate a walk-behind forklift, and ensure FIFO and proper labeling of pallets. The role requires following daily production schedules and assisting other areas as needed.

Candidates should be able to read paperwork, use Proficy, and lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED is required, with 12-hour shifts and a safety‑driven mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Supply all products from receiving/shipping/storage to the correct line/area.
  • Unloading inbound materials and some LTL.
  • Clear areas of trash and move to proper areas.
  • Record materials moved or used during shift.
  • Verify materials received by supplier.
  • Store materials in correct areas and manage FIFO.
  • Label pallets and ensure quantities match.
  • Review daily production schedules to plan unloading.
  • Support other areas as needed.

Responsibilities


  • Supplying all products (raw and packaging materials) from the receiving, shipping and storage area to the correct line/area.

  • Clearing areas of trash and moving it to proper areas. (Transfer, receiving dock, etc.)

  • The transfer of receiving goods to correct storage area.

  • Verifying of all materials received by supplier.

  • Documenting any/all materials moved or used during shift.

  • Unloading of all inbound materials and some LTL.

  • Operators must write the SKU designation on each pallet received for ease of identification.

  • Forklift operators apply printed bar code labels to each pallet, verifying quantities match.

  • Operators review the daily production schedules and determine what material is to be unloaded for the day. The unloading plan is verified by supervision.

  • Take off any material or product from the dock and store it in the proper area.

  • Separate cardboard from other foreign materials to be loaded into a baler.

  • Remove waste from the floor and place it in a proper disposal bin.

  • Help logistics wrap bulk, stock, and stock rotation

  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 50LBS.

  • Will be responsible for FIFO. (First in, First out)

  • May be asked to support other areas in need.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements


  • Ability to work 12-hour shift

  • Able to read and manage paperwork.

  • Trained by qualified job trainer for time designated by training plan.

  • Must have high school diploma or GED

  • Must know how to use Proficy

  • Must be able to operate an automatic walk behind hand truck

  • Experienced in Food environment desired.
