Qualifications

• 1 year of general labor in heavy manufacturing, preferably scrap metal or construction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service.
• Follow written and oral instructions.
• Lift up to 40 lbs and occasionally more.
• Stand or walk up to 12 hours per day in outdoor conditions.
• Adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and schedule consistency.
• Willing to overtime, weekends, and holidays in an industrial outdoor setting.
• Experience with Skid Loader/Skid Steer/Forklift/Loader preferred.
• Candidates within 50 miles of location preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control traffic patterns in yard and direct customers to unload materials.
• Inspect materials for non-acceptable items and hazards.
• Communicate deduction information to customers and teammates.
• Interact professionally with customers and management.
• Ensure non-acceptable materials are not left on property.
• Remove and store items not allowed appropriately.
• Operate small and large equipment as needed to manage piles.
• Follow environmental policies and keep the work area clean.
• Cross-train in other positions and assist others as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
