You will verify inventory, maintain locations, and prepare materials for production or shipment. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and safe operation of material handling equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse or material handling training is beneficial.
• Experience moving, organizing, loading, or unloading materials in warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to identify products, labels, inventory locations, and shipping documentation.
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.
• Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material, including piece pick and/or bulk.
• Prepare required paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned areas.
• Assist with periodic inventory counts as requested.
