Job summary

UFP Industries in Minnesota is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records are maintained according to the schedule.

You will transfer materials between stations, band, wrap and label finished goods, and keep the inventory yard organized while supporting production with timely material availability. The role emphasizes safety, daily pre-shift checks, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Forklift driving experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
• Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Moves material between stations in production and inventory
• Bands, wraps and labels finished goods
• Moves finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs
• Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment checklist
• Maintains inventory yard organized and clean
• Completes production records as required
• Follows forklift rules and policies
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs
• Performs other duties as required
