Job summary

Drug Plastics & Glass Company Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to ensure proper transfer of plastics to processing machines. The role involves setting up, cleaning, and maintaining equipment, controlling material flow, and matching mixes to customer requirements.

Requirements include basic math, clear communication, MSDS familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Overtime is expected in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Plastics industry experience a plus.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Break down incoming bulk shipments for storage or production use.
• Clean and maintain hoses, machines, and production areas.
• Check feed lines to ensure proper material flow to machines.
• Identify and use production resins and concentrates.
• Mix plastics and additives for production runs as specified.
• Connect vacuum loaders and material lines to machines for processing.
• Move materials on hand trucks and label for storage or disposal.
• Grind rejected product and materials using grinders.
• Keep bins filled with material and supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance on grinders and hoppers.
• Communicate problems to next shift material handlers.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Remain fully qualified per Job Competencies and GMPs.
