Job summary

The City of Lincoln is seeking a production worker to read schedules, transfer materials and support production flow in a fast-paced environment. You will handle materials between stock and production areas, operate or coordinate forklift and crane as needed, and maintain safety and housekeeping standards throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include assisting with material forecasting, following work orders, and participating in basic training on machines and work centers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• Must have forklift and crane certification or be able to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, inventory reports and work orders to determine materials required and priority.
• Forecast material shortages and inform Work Center Leads.
• Move materials between stock and production areas using forklift/crane as needed.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and requirements.
• Perform housekeeping in the assigned area before, during and after shifts.
• Train on basic functions of machines and work centers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Production Supervisor or Work Center.
