Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a Material Technical Advisor to expedite material flow and plan material/production needs on-site at Grove City. You will lead a team of hourly workers, drive inventory accuracy, and execute continuous improvement to boost safety and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 4+ years manufacturing experience), strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus materials knowledge and MRP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing).
• Strong oral and written communication skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills; materials knowledge and MRP experience.

Responsibilities

• Safety: maintain a safe shop environment and promote continuous safety improvement.
• Controllership: ensure inventory and MRP accuracy, including cycle counts and audits.
• Metrics: minimize material shortages and improve MTA metrics (availability, inventory, OTD, etc.).
• Efficiency: lead continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and cost savings.
• Leadership: direct hourly team, establish standard work, and develop teammates.
