Data-Mail, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler in Newington, CT for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:30 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.). This in-person role involves moving materials through the plant, ensuring adequate supply to machine operators, and maintaining inventory flow.

Responsibilities include documenting machine usage, coordinating with supervisors, and assisting with training for new staff while keeping the work area clean and safe. Requires forklift license and HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• License for operation of electric jack and Raymond forklift required.
• Ability to operate hand trucks and move heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Check the schedule and recap from master recap stand; read recap; report errors to supervisor.
• Fill out correct documentation such as machine sheets, shortage reports, and meters.
• Pull materials to machines; verify correct materials and call for the mechanic.
• Move materials from warehouse to machines in a timely manner to prevent stockouts; use kanban as needed.
• Return leftovers to the warehouse with a recap accompanying both labels and materials.
• Maintain production standards and ensure batches are ready for setup.
• Coordinate label requirements to run batches and tiers in the correct mail date order.
• Train new material handlers and keep work area neat and clean.
• Dispose of scrap materials properly and follow safety procedures.
• Report production, quality, or safety problems to the supervisor immediately.
