Job summary

Contechs is seeking an Engineer, Material Flow Engineering for a contract role in Warsaw, IN USA. The candidate will apply Lean manufacturing, optimize material flow from warehouse to point of use, and lead lineside replenishment systems.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years in material flow, proficiency in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP, Excel, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering in automotive/high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support material flow optimization from warehouse to point of use using lean principles.
• Review and implement lineside replenishment systems (e.g., Kanban) with IT to improve delivery.
• Maintain material handling layouts to optimize space on the shop floor.
• Lead pull systems with balanced inventory at each use point.
• Manage material handling equipment from procurement through deployment (forklifts, AGVs, etc.).
