Job summary

Brunswick is hiring a Materials Expeditor I to safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks, moving materials in warehouse and production. You will perform daily equipment checks, manage inventory via RF scanners, ensure load stability, and report issues while following strict safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will meet preferred 1–3 years forklift experience, readiness for 10-hour shifts, and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

  • Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, stack, load and unload materials.
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report mechanical issues.
  • Manage inventory using RF scanners and ensure load stability.
  • Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and pre-operation inspection routines.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and follow procedures.

Position Overview

Our Materials Expeditor I will safely operate sit down/stand-up forklifts or pallet jacks to move, stack, load, and unload materials in warehouse and production.

  • conducting daily equipment checks
  • managing inventory via RF scanners
  • ensuring load stability
  • adhering to strict OSHA safety protocols
  • performing daily pre‑operation inspections
  • reporting mechanical issues
  • following safety regulations
Essential Functions
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times, and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately
  • Ability to understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and Engineering Prints
  • Visually inspect and / or audit units for quality
  • Discuss quality issues with lead or supervisor to resolve problems
  • Use a variety of electric and pneumatic hand tools
  • Seek positive solutions to issues and problems
  • Must be able to complete work within takt time
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Maintain a high standard of conduct and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred
  • 1-3 years forklift experience
  • Ability to work 10 hours + shift
  • Ability to work with a variety of chemicals following all proper safety requirements
  • Work independently in a fast‑paced team environment
  • Understand supply chain systems components / competences
  • Read print/work instructions
  • Read and complete process sheets
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer skills including email
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently standing and lifting heavy objects weighing 50 to 100 pounds. The employee is constantly walking, pushing / pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Environmental demands include working both indoors and outdoors and is seasonally exposed to extreme temperatures.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.83, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
