Join our Team: Material Distribution Specialist - 2nd Shift
Watertown, SD

What you'll do

As a Material Distribution Specialist, you'll handle the movement and control of materials and finished goods, replenish materials on the flow line, and address basic issues, referring complex problems to higher-level staff.

  • Follow Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Promote The Terex Way Values
  • Deliver materials to work stations to meet production demands
  • Operate forklifts, tuggers, and other PITs
  • Support kanbans, stock materials, and expedite as needed
  • Perform material counts to verify quantities
  • Interact with Oracle
  • Work under general supervision with guidance on procedural changes
  • Maintain clean work areas and participate in 5S standards
  • Troubleshoot basic issues
  • Flex into other areas and departments as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll bring
  • 0-2 years of material handling experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift, tugger, or PIT certification or ability to obtain it
  • Basic knowledge of the subject matter
  • Ability to read blueprints and tape measurements
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, or 40-100 lbs with assistance
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Teamwork and positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently
  • Recognize safety hazards and act appropriately
  • Maintain confidentiality of business and product information
  • Good attendance and punctuality

The compensation range is $21.00-$22.50 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
