Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Frederick, MD is hiring a non-CDL Driver to load, transport, and deliver building materials to job sites. This is a 26,000 lb GVWR vehicle role focused on safety, accuracy, and customer service.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, is 21+, holds a valid driver’s license, and can obtain a DOT medical card promptly. Prior delivery experience is preferred and forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21+ years of age and valid driver license.
• Must be able to pass MVR and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Delivery experience preferred, building materials a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and secure product inside delivery vehicle and deliver to customer sites; unload with care and protect goods and customer property.
• Use a handheld device (not while driving) to ensure DVIR/HOS compliance.
• Verify order details and maintain a log of deliveries (amounts/weights, mileage, locations); check items against invoices for accuracy.
• Act as customer service liaison, addressing concerns and helping resolve issues.
• Maintain service logs and complete pre/post trip inspection procedures.
