Commonwealth Building Materials, Inc. - Roanoke in Roanoke, VA is hiring a Delivery Helper. The role involves safely operating a commercial vehicle, loading/unloading materials, and delivering to commercial and residential sites while maintaining safety and high customer service standards.

Applicants must hold a CDL (Class B minimum; Class A preferred) and a clean MVR. The position offers hourly pay up to $25 with benefits and potential overtime, plus a focus on team collaboration and safety

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.
• Minimum Class B License; Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) required.
• Good knowledge of DOT regulations and road safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects and ensure safe operation.
• Load/unload building materials onto flatbed or boom truck; deliver to job sites.
• Maintain compliance records per state and federal regulations.
• Report all accidents; demonstrate stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 80–100+ lbs).
• Provide excellent customer service and professional interaction with customers.
