Job summary

BARD Materials is seeking a Material Delivery Professional in Dubuque, IA. You will safely deliver aggregates and ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential sites, acting as the company’s brand ambassador and ensuring top-tier customer service.

You must have a high school diploma or GED; CDL is preferred and a DOT physical with drug testing is required. Expect varied conditions on construction sites and frequent communication with dispatch and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Valid CDL preferred; license required.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
  • Ability to work in construction-site conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a BARD Brand Ambassador.
  • Safely operate truck under federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Complete pre and post-trip truck inspections.
  • Operate truck to receive load, inspect batch, and drive to site.
  • Adjust batch at jobsites per order specifications.
  • Deliver product to job location.
  • Communicate with dispatch, maintenance and plant management for customer service.
  • Assess job sites to identify hazardous conditions.
  • Maneuver truck on site and attach chutes to discharge material.
  • Complete forms, tickets and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Keep inside and outside of truck orderly and clean.
  • Document variances and site construction issues with appropriate departments.
  • Demonstrate awareness of customer needs and provide superior service.
  • Identify and resolve customer complaints and forward as needed.

Job Summary:

Material Delivery Professionals (MDP’s) are responsible for the delivery of aggregate and ready-mix concrete to various job sites (commercial and residential) in a safe and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a BARD Brand Ambassador.
  • Safely operate truck in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Complete pre and post-trip inspection of truck.
  • Operate truck to receive load, inspect batch, and drive to job site.
  • Conduct adjustments to batch at jobsites in accordance to order specifications.
  • Deliver product to job location.
  • Communicate with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management to facilitate good customer service.

Requirements

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL preferred; valid state driver’s license required (Interested in this position but don’t have a CDL? Ask us how BARD will assist you in the obtainment of a Commercial Drivers License).
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical on annual basis, including drug screening.
  • Ability to work in conditions common to a construction site. This includes but is not limited to: rain, sleet, snow, dust, mud, heat, sun, cold, and noise
