Job summary

CACI International Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Material Coordinator to ensure smooth flow of materials between departments and AFSCN sites. You will handle TMDE calibration, packing, storage, and transportation in alignment with DoD/AFI/MIL-STD guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years in warehousing, ability to use MS Office and warehouse databases, and a secret clearance. Standard hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse and/or supply location.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions, and work proactively, independently with little guidance.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management databases.
• Basic understanding and operational skills using basic data entry and email (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, etc.).
• Prior relevant experience in packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, along with inventory/stock control or material handling role.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with a mandatory 30-minute lunch.
• Shadowing the normal working hours of our government customers.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform Storage, Inventory, and Distribution Management within AFLCMC PHS&T guidelines.
• Provide material handling and inventory control for TMDE calibration, repair, and certification.
• Coordinate with the Government upon receipt of damaged or missing items.
• Process shipments per DoD transportation rules and prioritize government shipments.
• Apply packaging and handling instructions per SPI and special handling rules when required.

Material Coordinator’s duties include but are not limited to material handling equipment, asset handling, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and Test, Measurement, Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration, repair, & certification support, according to established internal processes, procedures, and Performance Work Statements (PWS) that are derived from Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force Instruction (AFI), Military Standard (MIL-STD) guidelines and policies. This all falls under the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) Support Services 5-year contract, 22 March 2024 – 22 September 2029. **Responsibilities:** Perform various tasks associated with Storage, Inventory, and Distribution Management within Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Standard Process For Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) guidelines and instruction IAW AFI 23-101, MIL-STD-2073-1E, AFMCI 24-201, and TO 00-85B-3. The use of contractor-developed or government-established SPI and or/special handling instructions is required for, but not limited to, ESDS Material, Hazardous Material, and pilferable material. When SPI or special handling instructions are not required, the use of commercial packaging and handling when authorized.Provide material handling, and inventory control of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) for calibration, repair, & certification support. Send government-owned TMDE to the local Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) for calibration at Peterson Space Force Base to be following Air Force Instruction (AFI) 21-113, Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL). Coordinate with the Government upon receipt of a shipment with damaged or missing items. Document all damages and shortages discovered upon receipt of the item(s) IAW AFI 23-101 through DOD Web Supply Discrepancy Reporting (WebSDR) of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Automatic Addressing System (DAAS). The Government, through the Repair Lab, will provide instructions for all condemnation/disposal actions. Apply procedures IAW DTR 4500.9-R, Part II, Cargo Movement, or a suitable alternative, to all shipments moving within the DoD transportation system. If rapid transportation is necessary (e.g., MICAP), shipments are to be delivered to the customer by next-day delivery service when practicable.
