Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Material Coordinator for the second shift to support production and assembly by coordinating materials, coordinating with planning, logistics, and inventory to prevent stoppages. You will help resolve urgent needs by rallying resources quickly and ensuring timely material flow across the factory.

Qualifications

  • Experience with shop floor applications and ERP/MRP basics.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Willingness to travel or work nights/weekends/on-call.
  • Strong communication with manufacturing and supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Interface between planning, materials management, procurement, quality, production/construction/assembly, and design to support time-sensitive priorities for ongoing builds.
  • Modify work orders based on needs and initiate kitting of materials with the warehouse team.
  • Coordinate logistics of material through the factory.
  • Monitor material readiness and mitigate downtime due to material shortages.
  • Utilize shop floor applications to manage resource workloads.
  • Maintain work order status reports and balance resources to maximize utilization.
  • Perform other duties as required.

MATERIAL COORDINATOR - SECOND SHIFT, ($70,000-$90,000/YR)

Join the power movement as a Material Coordinator - Second Shift

You will be the first line of support for production, construction, and assembly teams. You will resolve urgent needs by bringing together the right resources quickly. You will work closely with planning, scheduling, logistics, and inventory to coordinate the flow of parts through the operation and prevent material stoppages. You will belong to a collaborative culture and exhibit transparent communication and teamwork.

The Schedule
  • 2ND shift - Hours: 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Pay range includes a 10% second shift differential
What You’ll Do
  • Interface between Planning, Materials Management, Procurement, Quality, Production/Construction/Assembly, and Design to support time-sensitive priorities for ongoing builds

  • Coordinate logistics of material through the factory

  • Perform other duties as required
We’re Looking For
  • General understanding of shop floor applications
  • Basic understanding of ERP and MRP systems
  • Basic computer skills with MS Office or G-Suite applications
  • General understanding of quality system functionality
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with manufacturing and supply chain personnel

  • Technician experience
Must-have Requirements / Physical Demands
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, climb, type, stand, sit, or work on ladders and scissor lifts for extended periods of time
  • Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000/year + equity + benefits. Actual compensation depends on level, location, qualifications, and Experience.
