Job summary

Addison HVAC in Orlando, FL is seeking a Material Coordinator Level I to ensure timely movement of sheet metal parts and subassemblies across production lines, maintaining workflow and part protection.

Responsibilities include transporting parts between stations, protecting components, monitoring carts, supporting 5S standards, and coordinating with production, quality and safety teams. Strong teamwork and basic computer skills preferred; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

  • 0–1 year of experience in material handling or manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems including Office 365 and Fourth Shift.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent English communication; Spanish a plus.
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting multiple production lines.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and professional relationships.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Transport sheet metal parts efficiently from Press Brake stations to downstream operations.
  • Coordinate movement from intermediate stages to the Kitting Area to maintain production velocity.
  • Wrap and protect carts to prevent damage during transport.
  • Monitor and manage supply of empty equipment to ensure carts are available on lines.
  • Dispose of scrap and non-conforming sheet metal per policy.
  • Uphold 5S standards for a clean, organized, safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and safety to maintain correct material flow.

Location: Orlando, FL 32810

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Material Coordinator Level I to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the timely delivery of sheet metal parts and subassemblies to all production lines to maintain a continuous and efficient workflow. This position focuses on the physical movement of work‑in‑progress materials between fabrication stages and assembly areas. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of part protection, follow safety guidelines, and support daily operations by keeping our production areas organized and fully stocked.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport sheet metal parts efficiently from Press Brake stations to downstream operations, including Toggle Lock, Doors, and Kitting areas.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials from intermediate stages directly to the Kitting Area to maintain production velocity.
  • Secure and protect components by professionally wrapping carts before transport to prevent material damage and maintain part integrity.
  • Monitor and manage the supply of empty equipment to ensure Red Carts and Standard Carts are always available at production lines.
  • Execute proper disposal of scrap and non-conforming sheet metal according to company policy.
  • Uphold departmental 5S standards to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and safety personnel to maintain the correct flow of materials.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 0-1 year of experience in material handling or manufacturing.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer systems, including Office 365 and Fourth Shift.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting multiple production lines in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining positive professional relationships that encourage teamwork.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs following all safety procedures and company guidelines.
Work Environment & Shift Details
  • Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm (Dayshift)
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, with consistent physical activity throughout the daily shift.
  • Conditions: This position requires working in a fast‑paced shop environment that requires strict adherence to safety protocols, 5S standards, and active material transportation.
