Responsibilities

• Maintain 51 Record database and physical 51 Record files.
• Load/Unload trucks as needed.
• Pull/Prepare assets for shipment.
• Validate/Inspect assets to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Identify damaged, lost, or missing assets and notify supervisor.

Job Location:Yorktown Naval Weapons Station (Cheatham Annex), Williamsburg, VA

Summary:

Our company is searching for a Material Coordinator to join our small team as a contractor for the US Navy. We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking individual who can withstand uncontrolled temperatures, both hot and cold. A good candidate will pay close attention to detail, follow directions, double-check their work, work well in a group setting or alone, and have strong communication, thinking, and organizational skills. Duties to include but not limited to:

• Access SERMIS to obtain information needed for tasks
• Maintain 51 Record database and physical 51 Record files
• Load/Unload trucks as needed
• Pull/Prepare assets for shipment
• Validate/Inspect assets as requested to ensure inventory accuracy
• Always treat assets with care and concern
• Identify damaged, lost, or missing assets and notify supervisor immediately
• Assist in cleanliness of warehouse
• Operate/work with heavy equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Assist with receiving assets by inspecting identifying markers such as part number, cage, serial number, barcode and status code

Qualifications/Skills:

-High School Diploma/GED

-Valid Driver’s License

-Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse material handling, packaging, inspection, cataloging, and shipment scheduling/coordination

-Previous warehouse experience

-Ability to work alone or with others

-Ability to lift 50 pounds

-Some knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Access a plus

Requirements:

• You may be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
• Successful Completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail to pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
