Job summary

Tessera seeks a motivated Material Coordinator at Warner Robins Air Force Base, GA. The role supports material flow, inventory control, and government property handling. Responsibilities include issuing supplies, tracking stock, and coordinating with production and vendors.

Location: Warner Robins Air Force Base, Georgia

Type: Non Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Compensation: $33.30 - $33.30 p/hour

Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Material Coordinator with a Positive/Professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:
  • Determine needs, orders, and issue supplies.
  • Determine overdue material and parts and inform supervisors of material status.
  • Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas, manually or using a handcart, hand truck, or forklift.
  • Record and maintain perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually or using a computer.
  • Read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine the type and quantity of materials required, the availability of stock, and order priority.
  • Support internal and external property audits and inventory reconciliations
  • Examine the material delivered to verify that it is the type specified.
  • Pick up materials/parts from the vendor.
  • Ensure proper receipt, storage, issue, transfer, and disposition of government property
  • Track and schedule tools that require calibration.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely.
  • Responsible for maintaining a knowledge of applicable Federal, State, DOE, Corporate, and Plant rules, regulations, Labor Agreements, and Plant-wide operating policies and procedures.
  • Support maintenance technicians with material requirements
  • Kit parts for scheduled maintenance, and maintain adequate required supplies
  • Coordinate material availability for work orders, and prevent maintenance delays due to part shortages
  • Monitor open purchase requests, expedite critical parts, track backorders, coordinate with both vendors and buyers.
  • Must exercise good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity in response to changing situations and needs.
  • Establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of daily work.
  • Communicating with customers - always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers.
  • Must be able to operate company vehicles for pickup and delivery of material.
  • Needs a strong computer and systems background and knowledge base.
  • May be required to maintain the tool room inventory and organization.
  • Maintain accountability and traceability of Government Furnished Property (GFP), Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), and customer-owned assets in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
  • Maintain professionalism both in appearance and in demeanor.
  • All Other Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 3 - 5 years of warehousing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to utilize a computerized information system to correctly receive, store, issue, ship, and inspect all material and stock within the supply division.
  • Must be able to accurately read and understand material order sheets to fill material or supply requisitions and direct parts and supplies to the proper areas.
  • Must be able to provide proper input information to the computerized information system.
Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
