AMETEK Programmable Power Business Unit in San Diego, CA is seeking a Material Coordinator to support manufacturing by verifying inventory, performing cycle counts, reordering, inputting data, and pulling kits. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain work cell stock locations.
  • Trigger order signals for components on electronic replenishment.
  • Conduct cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies.
  • Process backorder items and expedites materials.
  • Loads, moves and unloads material to inventory locations.
  • Complete and process all related documentation.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure movement of materials to production.

We also provide a deep expertise in Programmable Power, Data Acquisition and Functional Test applications.

Job Summary

The Material Coordinator supports the assigned manufacturing department with materials. Verify inventory, cycle counting, reordering, inputting data, kit pulling and carrying out safety checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain work cell stock locations.
  • Trigger order signal for components on electronic replenishment.
  • Conducts cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and reports discrepancies.
  • Process backorder items and expedites materials.
  • Loads, moves and unloads material to various inventory locations.
  • Completes and processes all associated documentation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to manage efficient flow of all materials.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient movement of all materials and evaluate all materials sent to production department.
  • Coordinate with production lead and department managers to ensure accountability for all materials.
  • Checking incoming materials for any defects or flaws that may need to be addressed prior to use in manufacturing.
  • Inform production lead and manager when inventory is low or when materials are no longer usable due to defects or damage.
  • Monitoring material inventories to ensure that the correct number of materials are on hand at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, associates degree preferred.
  • 3 years of related work experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25lbs.

Salary Range

The hourly pay rate for this position generally ranges between $22.00 to $28.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
