Job summary

Bandit Equipment is seeking a Material Coordinator to organize and allocate materials on the shop floor. The role coordinates part flow, forecasts assemblies, and procures parts using SAP.

The coordinator will work with multiple departments, read blueprints, and operate forklifts/cranes as needed, adhering to all safety and inventory guidelines. This position requires readiness for outdoor/indoor conditions and basic shop math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a related field preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and read a blueprint.
• Able to read tape measure and measuring instruments.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Crane and forklift safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Handout and organize pick lists and verify they are completed on the shop floor.
• Forecast all assemblies that need to be completed.
• Perform cycle counts and enter them into SAP.
• Build packets of sub assembly builds to be completed.
• Work with the Production Planner to review and fix good movement errors in SAP.
• Communicate with other departments to keep requisitions filled in a timely manner.
• Use Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine upcoming parts that need to be ordered.
• Operate fork trucks, cranes and/or other equipment to move material.
• Knowledge of production processes and other techniques to effectively distribute materials/parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Material Coordinator is responsible for proper organization and allocation of materials and parts on the shop floor. They will coordinate the flow of parts, going in or out of the department as well as with outside vendors. They will be responsible for ordering parts for forecasted production. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
• Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
