Bandit safety training

Job summary

Bandit Equipment is seeking a Quality Control 1 to deburr and hand-finish parts before painting. The role requires adherence to Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production standards, and procedures.

You will use power tools, understand steel characteristics, and perform inspections to ensure parts meet specifications. Training in crane/forklift safety is required, with attention to housekeeping and tool maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Abil ity to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and read a blueprint.
• Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.
• Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training

Responsibilities

• Use power tools to achieve desired design results.
• General knowledge of various steel characteristics such as thickness and gauge, cold or hot rolled, etc.
• Knowledge of production processes and other techniques to effectively distribute machinery.
• Recognize when there is a problem or issue with a machine and let the appropriate authority know.
• Examine finished product to ensure parts meet specification and quality.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools to put parts on.
• Basic housekeeping and maintain tools.
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Quality Control 1 is responsible for deburring operations. This includes but is not limited to using tools such as a swivel, straight edge knifes, and sanding discs to hand finish part surfaces before going to paint. They will be required to smooth out any imperfections. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.

• General knowledge of various steel characteristics such as thickness and gauge, cold or hot rolled, etc.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read a tape measure, basic shop math, and able to read a blueprint.
• Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring instruments.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
• Complete Bandit’s crane and/or forklift safety training

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
• Requires employee to work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
• Frequently required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
