Job summary

Bauer Compressors is seeking a Material Coordinator to maintain inventory control and smooth material flow for assembly and warehouse operations. You will ensure parts are at point-of-use and follow Lean 5S and ISO quality standards.

The role requires forklift experience, RF scanning, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm EST with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year in warehouse, storeroom, logistics, or distribution.
  • Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and management.
  • Sense of urgency with efficiency and accuracy; fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
  • Forklift experience or certification; RF scanner experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP and related systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pull parts from stocking shelves and perform inventory transactions.
  • Receive parts into VLM and record related transactions.
  • Store parts from suppliers and track inventory.
  • Assist with packing/shipping and prepare shipping paperwork.
  • Data entry for missing parts and in-process inspections.
  • Coordinate with shipping to fulfill sales orders on time.
  • Assist with cycle counts and scheduled inventories.
  • Operate material handling equipment and pass Bauer certification.
  • Identify opportunities to improve floor picking and documentation.
  • Monitor job orders and staging to support on-time production.

  • Pay or shift range: $45,000 USD to $52,000 USD
    The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Coordinator is responsible for performing necessary functions to maintain inventory control and material flow so that parts are at point-of-use in assembly and warehouse operations. The Material Coordinator maintains a work environment in accordance with Lean 5S standards and performs tasks in accordance with safety and ISO Quality Standards. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

JOB FUNCTIONS
Include the following, but other duties may be assigned.

  • Pulls parts from stocking shelves/racks and performs associated inventory transactions.
  • Pulls parts from/receives parts into VLM and performs associated inventory transactions.
  • Stores parts delivered from outside suppliers and performs associated inventory transactions
  • Assists with Pulling/packing/shipping spare parts. Completes associated shipping paperwork and performs associated inventory transactions
  • Performs data entry for missing parts database and in-process inspection form
  • Coordinates with shipping department to pull/package/ship sales orders complete and on time. Completes associated record keeping, shipping paperwork and performs associated inventory transactions.
  • Assists with cycle counts and all scheduled fiscal inventories.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, forklift ,stand-up forklift ,pallet jacket, overhead crane and be able to pass Bauer certification course.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
  • Assist Warehouse Coordinator with email and job order request when needed
  • Process finished goods to available storage for scope of supply.
  • Assists in recognizing opportunities for improvement in floor pick and documentation process to increase efficiency.
  • Monitors job order statuses and job staging area to assist in on time delivery to production.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum one (1) year warehouse, storeroom, logistics, or distribution experience
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to accurately and clearly communicate (verbally and written) with co-workers and management.
  • Must possess a sense of urgency with a drive for efficiency and accuracy of work.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • RF scanner experience.

VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems a plus.
  • VLM (Vertical Lifting Machine) and/or Carousel picking experience a plus.
  • Made 2 Manage (M2M) software experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. The employee is required to wear eye and foot protection.

Normal working schedule: Monday thru Friday: 7am to 3:30pm EST, with some overtime required at times.
